“It is said that gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision of tomorrow’s young leaders,” stated Governor Gregory Mendoza; FINAL Advisor and UNITY Board Member. The Future Inspired Native American Leaders (FINAL) Youth Council hosted the Akimel O’odham/Pee-Posh Youth Council and Young River Peoples Council for their Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. The event was organized by the FINAL Youth Council Special Projects Committee comprised of youth council members at the Phoenix Indian Center. 

“In this season of thankfulness, we are especially grateful for the UNITY family and it’s leadership who have worked so hard to guide our Native youth leaders and create successful programs,” said Mendoza.  He ended with a statement “Wishing our UNITY youth and their families a Thanksgiving full of blessings!”
