
UNITY celebrated its 41st birthday last week at its headquarters in downtown Mesa, Arizona with a Birthday Bash drawing about 60 Native youth and advisors. Josiah Lester, Navajo, of the FINAL Youth Council, and Ramon Littleman, aka “Moonie,” both served as Co-Masters of Ceremonies.
The evening included fun and games, refreshments, DJ music, testimonials about the UNITY experience, college students presentation and entertainment by Martha Ludlow from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The event was co-hosted by the Future Inspired Native American Leaders (FINAL) Youth Council. President Josiah Lester shared a PowerPoint about the youth council’s activities and accomplishments.
