Anchorage, Alaska—UNITY served as the host booth for the National Indian Education Association (NIEA) at their annual national Convention & Trade Show, last month in Anchorage, Alaska. The College Visit Day took place on Saturday, October 18 as part of the annual trade show. Open to the public, participants and prospective college and graduate school students networked and learned more about educational institutions from across the country.

UNITY promoted its programs and resources, and encouraged youth council involvement. UNITY Executive Director Mary Kim Titla, UNITY Executive Committee Co-President Sarah Scott, 25 Under 25 Honoree Haley Trefon and ASU student Shaandiin Parrish participated by sharing and spreading UNITY’s mission and announcing UNITY’s upcoming Midyear Conference and National Conference, both taking place in Washington D.C. in 2015.
