Limited! One-day Registration Rates Now Available for the 2018 UNITY Midyear Conference

If you can’t attend all four days of the UNITY Midyear Conference but you can attend for one day, UNITY has some good news to share! One day rates are now available for the UNITY Midyear Conference set to take place at Tempe Mission Palms Hotel and Conference Center in Tempe, Arizona from January 2 – 5, 2018. Youth and adults who work with youth are encouraged to register for one day of leadership training, which focuses on UNITY’s YOUth Can! Action Planning curriculum.

The UNITY Midyear Conference will engage Native youth in purposeful training and activities designed to promote youth-led advocacy efforts by using methods that produce results respectful of tribal cultures. As is tradition, UNITY’s top-notch trainers will lead discussion tracks and hands-on training. UNITY youth leaders will serve as peer leaders including UNITY’s National UNITY Council Executive Committee and UNITY Earth Ambassadors who will facilitate sessions, serve as speakers and lead workshops. Conference highlights include Speed workshops, Cultural Night and a mock Mr. and Miss UNITY pageant.

Adult advisors and chaperones will also participate in team building and youth advocacy workshops. The agenda lineup will make this UNITY Midyear conference one of the best ever!

Two one-day rate options are available. For one day of training on Tuesday, January 2, or Wednesday, January 3, the rate is $65.00. For one day of training on Thursday, January 4, the rate is $75 (includes lunch). The one-day registration rate may not be exchanged for participants who are already registered for the full conference.

For more than 41 years the National UNITY Conference has brought Native Youth Leaders to cities all across the United States to participate in a drug and alcohol-free setting. The youth-led four-day conference will have a packed agenda including motivational messages, team-building exercises, cultural exchange, workshops, luncheon, and a closing commitment ceremony.
