Ashley Chinana: Hello, I’m Ashley Chinana, the current Great Plains Representative. My home is the Santee reservation, which is located in Northeastern Nebraska. My mother is from the Santee Sioux Tribe and my father is from Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe; therefore, I consider myself from both. During my high school years I attended Niobrara Public Schools. I was the only girl to graduate with honors and had the pleasure of being Homecoming Queen. I am participating in Women’s basketball at Morningside College located in Sioux City, Iowa. My major is biology, which is preparing me for the pre-med field and medical school. Currently, I am a full-time college student and if you have any other questions, my e-mail is Feel free to send me a message!

Wyatt Leonard Goggles: Hello, my name is Wyatt Leonard Goggles and I am 18 years old. I am an enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe on the Wind River Reservation. My position on the NUEC is being the Rocky Mountain representative for Montana and Wyoming. Getting to work with the councils throughout the two states is an amazing opportunity to make our voices heard throughout the UNITY Organization. Looking forward to this exciting year.

Santana Little Bear Johnson: My Name is Santana Little Bear Johnson, but everyone in UNITY knows me as Sonny. I am the Southern Plains Representative for this year’s Executive Committee (EC) and I am happy that I was chosen to be the Area Rep. I am 18 years old, a Kansas Kickapoo and live on the Kansas Kickapoo’s Rez. I`ve been in UNITY for about 5 years, since the Conference in New Mexico in ’09, and ever since that Conference I fell in love with UNITY. So far UNITY has opened plenty of doors, and some of the things I have done is to be a member of the Student Council and Native American Club at my High School. In addition, I am a two time State Qualifier in Wrestling. What it’s done on the out side of school is send me places I never thought I would ever go to and it showed me what I plan to be later on in life and that’s a Native American and History Teacher. I know we made history just this past year and I made a little history myself as being in the first Youth Council from Kansas and to be the first person from Kansas to be on the EC and that to me is an honor.

Dominique Lombardi: My name is Dominique Lombardi, a Desert Cahuilla Indian from the Morongo Band of Mission Indians tribe and the Torres-Martinez tribe in Southern California. It is a great honor to be on the National UNITY Council Executive Committee as the Pacific representative this year. I am a student at Mount San Jacinto community college, going into my second year. As a student at MSJC, I am also a player on the women’s golf team. After graduating from MSJC, I plan to transfer to a four year college to continue my education and major in liberal arts so I may become an elementary teacher. I chose elementary because that is the age children start to choose the direction they are going to go in life and need tons of discipline and guidance, and I would like to be one of those teachers that can say I helped children become successful in all they set their mind to. I am also former royalty of my tribe as we call the Daughter of Morongo. I served as the Daughter of Morongo for three years in a row from 2008-2011, and am very blessed to have had the opportunity to have held the crown. While holding the crown I have learned more about my tribe than I even thought I would know and I’ve learned more of myself as a person, having to do public speaking and other tasks really brought me out of my shell. Because of that, I am a very social person now and would love to hear for all of you. Aachama, Thank you. Email:

Sarah Jo Schilling: My name is Sarah Jo Schilling. I’m a 2012 high school graduate! I plan to take the current academic year off and attend collage in the fall of 2013. I call Petoskey Michigan home. I’m a proud member of the Waganakising Eshkiniigijik UNITY Council and the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. I’ve been involed with my youth council and UNITY for four years. In my free time I love to travel, pow wow, and meet new people. If you are in the Mid-West area and interested in UNITY, feel free to contact me at

Sarah Scott is the Northwest Area Representative, eighteen years old, a young mother and an enrolled member or the Lummi Nation Tribe. Sarah is currently attending a community college to acquire her transfer degree: from there she pans to transfer to a university where she will pursue a bachelors degree. She has lived in the northwest her whole life and is an active member in her culture. Currently Sarah is sitting as co-chair on the Xwlemi’ youth council. For the future, Sarah plans to continue her education and to promote a healthy lifestyle to the younger generations in her community – all while living life to the fullest.

Brian Weeden: It is a great honor to serve on the Executive Committee as the North East Area Representative. I plan on getting more youth engaged and involved in this amazing organization!. I’am a proud member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe located on Cape Cod in Mashpee, Massachusetts. In my spare time I love to sing traditional songs and dances, serve as the chair of our youth council and sit on our tribal Youth Advisory Committee. The youth are my Passion and I look forward to helping each and everyone of you. If you need to reach me you can email me at
