National Conference Call for Vendor Proposals

UNITY is now accepting vendor proposals to support the 2015 National UNITY Conference. Current support is required for:

1. Conference Program – Printing Vendor (download RFP here)
2. Conference Tee-Shirts – Printing Vendor (download RFP here)
3. Conference Videographer/News Producer (download RFP here)

Proposals are due no later than Friday, April 3, 2015

An Emergency Contact and Medical Information form is attached. Advisors, who will be accompanying youth to the 2015 National UNITY Conference, are asked to have this form completed and then brought to the conference where it will be available in case of illness or injury.

Additionally, a Participant Liability and Medical Release form is attached. Please ensure that a form is completed for each participant and sent to the UNITY office. If sending the signed original by US Mail, please mail no later than June 30, 2015. You may also send by fax (480) 773-6369 or email (events@unityinc.org). Send emails and faxes no later than July 3, 2015. Also, if sending by email or fax, bring the signed original to the conference and turn it in to the staff during the onsite registration process.

Mesa, AZ – Nearly 1,500 Native American youth from across Indian Country are expected gather in our nation’s capital this summer to participate in the annual National UNITY Conference taking place July 10-14, 2015 at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. The five-day agenda will feature several nationally known keynote speakers, more than 30 workshops, a cultural exchange night, talent show, and awards banquet and dance. A Today’s Native Leaders’ National Summit, co-sponsored by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, is also planned a day before the conference on July 9.

“We are working with the National UNITY Council to create one of the most memorable and special national conferences to date,” said Mary Kim Titla, Executive Director of UNITY, Inc. “Excitement is definitely in the air as we plan this big event. We will be announcing our theme soon and will reveal our guest speakers and presenters over the next few months. UNITY announces a graphics art competition for Native youth! Please share the following with any youth council members and other Native youth who may be interested in designing the 2015 National UNITY Conference logo.

Theme: “Strengthening Self-Identity; Defining the U in UNITY”

Who: For Native Youth 14 – 24

What: Submit a conference logo design entry, digital or hand drawn

When: Submit your entry by the May 24, 2015 deadline
