The National Center Partners with UNITY to Create a Business Plan Competition for Youth

MESA, AZ- The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (The National Center) is partnering with United National Indian Tribal Youth, Inc. (UNITY) to conduct a business plan competition at the upcoming National UNITY Conference. The Business Plan Competition is open to teams of individuals who attend the 2019 National UNITY Conference and is divided into two divisions: Team Youth High School-Age (14-17) and Team College-Age (18-24). Each team must be comprised of at least two people within the same age division. The winners will be announced during the National UNITY Conference July 4-8, 2019 in Orlando, FL. Graduate Fellowship Available


Each year the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) selects three graduate students from underrepresented communities for fellowships tracks in Earth System Science, Diversity & Inclusion, and Public Policy.

These awards are for two school years and two summer internships. Fellows receive $20,000 per school year, plus support during the summer internships.

2017 ETS English Language Learning Summer Institute: Paid Internships Available

The English Language Learning (ELL) group in the Assessment Development Division of Educational Testing Service (ETS) expects to hire approximately 35 interns for the summer of 2017.


ELL summer interns will produce materials for use on large-scale, high-stakes standardized tests of English language proficiency. Each intern will work on one of the following:

  • TOEFL iBT® Test
    The TOEFL iBT test is taken by nonnative speakers of English who are planning to apply to a college or university in an English-speaking country.
  • TOEIC® Tests
    The TOEIC tests are taken principally by people who need to communicate with both native and nonnative speakers of English in the context of the global workplace.
